You may search The University of North Carolina Inter-Institutional Online Course Registration Web site by

• keyword (e.g., course title, course description, instructor, etc.)
• term (e.g., summer, fall),
• campus,
• degree (e.g. baccalaureate, graduate), and
• subject.

In addition to words and phrases, the keyword mechanism responds to three SQL “operators”:

1. When you add a plus sign (“+”) before a word, you “tell” the search mechanism that every result it displays must that contain that particular word.
2. When you add a minus sign (“-”) before a word, you “tell” the search mechanism to display results that do not contain that particular word.
3. When you group words together within double quotes (e.g., “foreign languages”) you “tell” the search mechanism that in every result it displays, those words must appear exactly as they appear within the double quotes.
